looks fun but at 225 a driver plus gas to take it there with ut finishing 2nd its almost not worth it 24 hr race at delaware would draw as big a crowd to it as the race in shannonville would and it wouldn't cost as much to enter

I would think a race on a 4km roadcourse track would be alot more interesting.

nobody is saying it wouldn't be fun, heck i'd love to try it, it just seems a tad strange that the registration cost is more then the car is suppose to cost  Undecided

don't get me arong it would be fun and interesting but when u think of 24 hr race u think road corse not oval that would be something to watch an oval 24 hr race. i would love to afford to take undertaker up there but i just can't and alot of guys down this way can't either for that price i agree with streetstocker33  all the way

I dont think you guys are aware of the "costs" involved in renting a track and or to insure it.  So you race stockcars on one night of the week,  you may see 40 minutes of actual track time.  Roadcourse racing is much different.  Larger track, more to insure and more to pay for.

Speaking of oval enduro's on asphalt, you may want to venture to quebec...  check this out... 200 lap race at st eustache

I guess in Quebec at this track they don't know what a yellow flag is used for or someone forgot to bring it to the track  Huh

It looks pretty scary with cars going full speed around you and you are just sitting there helpless.

Theres a race that is run at Ransomville Speedway on new years day every year called the Hangover 150, basically its a 50 lap race for 4 cylinder/6/8 enduro in mud or snow, no matter what the conditions.  People still hungover from the night before.  Its a crazy event..cars parked and burning, driving through smoke like days of thunder -  let me see if theres some video.

I have raced in this race the past 4 of 5 years.. this year i decided to bow out..

I'm going to have to agree the Chump thing is way too much money! and the payout, well it sucks. I don't think the length of a track has allot to do with insurance. I think it is expensive for the show to travel and the promoters are making some serious cake.
Do a "12 hours of Delaware" maybe drive through the infield to form a road coarse, pit out side and use pit lane for re-fuel, minimum of six driver changes using no less than three drivers, no V-8s mufflers mandatory $500 car. mini pick ups allowed. Now that sounds like fun!

That video from Quebec really makes me wonder what our enduro class would be like if we got rid of the V8's......   fill the track up with cars again!

I will have V8 speed this year hopefully in the 4 Cylinder. But Mark's right that the cost to win is pretty high now, sadly. It's no longer a 350 with a mild cam anymore. I agree it would be fun to run some of those tracks east of us, looks like oldschool Enduro racing.

JWO you are close to the right thing there would be as much fun in just finishing as as winning the race you got a little team work having fun keeping the buggy going.
