Go down the frontstretch, hard left into the infield, go the wrong way around the JRL course, left onto the backstretch, throw a chicane between turn 4 and the finish line. Put some jersey barriers up so people can park in the dirt in 3 and 4 and so nobody actually hits the tech shed. nah just leave it the full circle track mandatory drivers change on pit road to.

Well the full circle thing is going to lead to excessive speed. This is why you need to keep it allot slower, one straight run for a little drag race feel and lots of corners for the of pulling big G's in Mazda 323. I've done a search on Kijiji and $500 cars are plentiful and a real variety to choose from. You can't have a deal like this work if your going to spend huge money on roll cages and seats and on it goes. This would be toatally entry level for the beginners (few guys from work or the office) or for your pit crew who need to try the wheel. This could promote the track nicely I would think

I don't think so, I think this is more about being conservative then going crazy. Thats why I was thinking on keeping it slow. One would really have to think it through on how they would make it too the end. The team would have to work together and drive smart. Protect your stuff and still be fast enough to be in it to the end. The transponders would keep the score nicely I would think. It could be really a hoot if it was organized well. It would be nice twist on the whole "king of the hill" basic concept. Well I still would love to race against some of the crews in the pits or maybe even Trevor!!! that would be a blast of a day

that's what repairs are for. Not uncommon for there to be somewhere north of 20 pit stops in a 24 hour race, many of them for repairs, brake pad changes, clutch, you name it.

Well it's all just graffiti on the wall unless we can get serious enough commitment to present the idea to the "Gods"

JWO maybe you hook up with nothingtolose and approach CPT entertainment and tell them you now have and are representatives of a new show. If they like your idea let them set it up maybe they could do it a Cayuga ? or some place else and they could get back to you with some figures.

I would consider doing this with our old sunfire, but you can't get crazy with safety stuff and track alterations that cost money. Old enduros used to last more than 2 hours so what wrong with someone driving longer than that?

I'm in for anything, I don't think a decent car should have any trouble lasting 12 hours, and you know if we could get an OK I'd cool on six hours. I don't really care as long as I geet some wheel time!!! I haven't raced since go karting back in '01

You can see from the pic this car was not overly built and it ran 300 laps in an enduro
