Post by: Doug Townsend on July 13, 2015, 06:23:11 PM
Varney ON -  Fans were treated once again to another great Friday night under the lights at Full Throttle Motor Speedway this past week.  Starting off the action was the Mini Truck class with #88 Bubba Brown from London managing to take both features this night over the #7 this week piloted by Gord Bennett.  This week also saw two rookies in the field with third in both races going to #67 Adrien Petersen from Saint-Georges Quebec and rounding out the field driving the #1 68 year old Denny Snider of Durham.

Street Stocks continue to delight fans with some of the best racing action to be found anywhere in a class forgotten by all other tracks in the province.  In feature one it would be #20 Ryan Edwards-Kiss from Londesboro making the most of his opportunities to get around the front runners and bring home another checker flag.  Second would go to #01 Travis Farrow from Holstein, third #3 Mark King from Hillsburgh, fourth #6 Rob Wark and rounding out the top five #5 Dave Grey Jr from Hanover.  In feature two second place runner up from feature one #01 Travis Farrow would get out front early and stay there all race.  Second this time would be #35 Mike Thebeau from Mitchell, third #6 Rob Wark, fourth #20 Ryan Edwards-Kiss and fifth #3 Mark King.

The Outlaw Late Model class this past week suffered from attendance issues but the drivers that did make the trip to the highbanks came to race.  Both features this night would go to #11 Cole Weber from New Hamburg as he was able to put room between himself and the rest of the field.  Second in feature one would go to #40 Mark Dixon from Durham and third #00 Trevor Thompson from Elmira.  In feature two #00 Trevor Thompson and #40 Mark Dixon would trade spots.

The Crazy Train class this past week came to put on a show for the fans and that is what they did bring a season high eight sets to the highbanks.  In feature one it would be #23 Texas Traincar Massacre at the line edging out #95 454 Go Baby Go, with #69 Crazy Till We Die in third.  Feature two would see more crazy action this time with the checker going to #69 Crazy Till We Die, second The Dragon Express, and for third #23 Texas Traincar Massacre.

In Fun Stock action it was Clarke Racing from Mount Forest getting two different cars into the winner circle this night.  In feature one it was #84 Andrea Parsons from Clifford picking up where she left off last week taking the checker and this time she didn’t have to share it but her closest competitor was again #25 Billy Lovell from Mildmay.  Third in this feature would go to #21 Leandra Urbanek from Holyrood with her best finish in her young driving career.  Fourth went to #73 Sherri McIntyre from Bayfield and rounding out the top five #5 Jeramy Duguay from Hanover.  Feature two would see #0 Nick Clarke from Clifford make his return to victory lane as he edged #34 Alex Hastie from Durham to the line.  Third would go to #71 Justin McKague from Teeswater, fourth #14 Luke Bos from Conn and fifth #48 John Green from Drayton.

Next action at the highbanks just south of Durham is a double header weekend kicking off this Friday July 17th at 7:30PM with Mid Season Championships for Jr Late Models, Fun Stocks, Super Trucks, Mini Stocks and Winged Modifieds.  Then things heat up again with action on Saturday July 18th at 5:00PM with Fun Stocks, Street Stocks, Winged Modifieds, Outlaw Late Models and Crazy Trains rounding out the weekend.
