Two big shows to end off 2017 at Cornwall Speedway!
Cornwall, Ont – Wednesday, September 7, 2017 – Martin Bélanger – Cornwall Motor Speedway will end 2017 with 2 great shows that are totally different from one and other! Here are the details:
One of the most popular events of the season will occur this coming Sunday afternoon as the Fireball Enduro is finally here! Again, this season, a lot of interest is currently ongoing as Cornwall Management is feeding several questions and comments from fans and competitors regarding this event that is a great afternoon filled of racing action for the whole family! Based on the interest, we will get some great participation again for 2017.
Registration of cars will be done on two days, starting this Saturday from noon until 4pm and then on Sunday morning starting at 8am and until the start of racing action at 2pm.
For this coming Sunday, the pit gates will open at 8am with a cost of $20 and the general admission will open their doors at noon with a cost of $13 for adults, $7 for seniors and $2 for kids 16 years old and under. Racing will start at 2pm.
To cap off 2017, the Super DIRTcar Big Block Series will be in town on Sunday, September 17 to complete their remake event, Matt Sheppard has been the man to beat on the tour trying to erase the deficit create by his 2-race absence earlier in the season, Sheppard have won 6 of the last 7 events. The tour has a busy month of September, travelling to Quebec this weekend and then to Brewerton, Mohawk and at Cornwall. Having a three-race weekend, we are expecting a great field of cars. Along with the 100-lap Modified, a 50-lap Sportsman and 35 laps for Pro-Stocks will also be on the card.
Hot laps are scheduled to start at 4pm with time trials and heat racing to start at approximately 4:30pm. the pit gates will open at noon with a cost of $45 and the general admission will open their doors at 1:30pm with a cost of $35 for adults, $18 for seniors and $5 for kids 16 years old and under.
