I see the CCS website back up this morning.  :o More news to follow in Jan 2010. It'll be interesting to see how things go in 2010. Arnie and his team made some great strides at trying to bring CCS back from the dead. Hope everything works out for you motorsports freaks in Eastern Ontario :o

I assume the ACT date was with Arnie so that will have to be renegociated, assuming the track will continue with an ACT late model class

may be old news but thought I'd post. Heard the new promoter is a legend car guy named Jeremy. Frank Johnston is selling off all his Legends stuff. Kenyon racing is closing up shop.
Heard that apparently enough drivers convinced Drummond's not to renew Arnie's contract. He would have renewed. I am sure there are many sides to this story.

this was posted on ccs website
"The Rumour is not true".  Kenyon racing products does have their building up for sale but are looking to relocate.  Kenyon's is open and it is business as usual."

I had heard the closing from a pretty reliable source. Said not enough business to support 3 families and at least one of the sons had taken another job already and they would sell the building. Time will tell.

I think everybody is looking forward to the future.  At the meeting, I did not hear any negative feedback, minus the fact the ACT Castrol race is not coming back which is understandable.

Besides that, the atmosphere was a very positive one.  I am looking forward to the driver's meeting and having the schedule posted.  It will be nice to race only one Wed nights and bringing the focus back to local wednesday night racing!

Personally I am disappointed that there will be no ACT castrol race and no LUCAS sportsman cup. I can't make it to the track regularly on Wed. nights and liked to take in the weekend specials. I end up spending my dollars to go to the bigger races to the west or maybe take in some dirt stuff.

The saturday races were fun, but I am sure they will be back in the future.  Given the fact they are only starting right now in January, I can understand them wanting to drop some of the bigger stuff and get it back to building a weekly program and then look at bringing in series or bigger races in years to come.  I think just having the track re-paved will be a great thing for the weekly program and am very excited as a driver and fan for the future of CCS!
