#45 , ran the T-Bird with the Mopar under the hood first year, blew the engine on the last race of the last night.   Ran the LeBaron body the next two years.  Yeah it was a blast, specially comin off #2 where the pit gate was, felt like you fell thru the track every time you went by!! Loved those big wide corners though.  Remeber the fog bowl when the track wanted to cancell our feature, we said nay nay we come to play ?

Hey guys, my search for old results has been coming along nicely, I now have full results from the National, East and West series back to 1998.
I also have limited results even father back.
I have a full 1987 Final Points standing list, a 1988 Schedule and at least a top 10 in post list in all years dating back to at least 87.
I also have top 3 results for many events dating back to 1991!
One problem I have is my results from 1997 and older are a big foggy, i cant tell which races are East, West or National.
My big question is how long was the National series just a 4 race deal?
The schedule for 1991 i have is:
Delaware
Barrie
Shannonville
Ottawa
Mosport (oval)
Peterborough
Windsor
Sanair
Mosport (rc)
Cayuga
Delaware
Ottawa

However the Schedule i have for 1988 is only:
May 23rd - Delaware
June 19th - Mosport
July 16th - Ottawa
September 4th - Delaware
October 2nd - Flamboro

Both say they are national schedules, so according to this the National schedule started out small, then grew to a long scheduled before somehow getting small again.

I want these results and what not posted in the right manor (i dont wanna fudge facts) so if somebody knows in more detail how the National series became cut down to just 4 events by 1998 and the East and West schedules becoming longer then it would be appreciated.

I would like to help you out for results & standings from before 98, as I have a number of programs that give what the results of the races were for that specific year - mostly from 90 on up - as well as the standings too. Unfortunately, those scans are all on my computer back in Canada & I never got to put them on my laptop before heading to Kandahar. Maybe when I get back to where my home computer is, I will get them off of it & send them, but might not be until next year.

I have a program from 1993. It shows a 15 event schedude which includes Calgary, Saskatoon & Regina. It reviews the '92 season in which Steve Robblee collected $25,000 from Mckerlie Millen for winning both the Super Series & Delaware Championships (20 Feature wins). It has a story about 3 time Florida Champion Don Mallot. It shows the top 15 point standings from '88 to '92. It mentions CASCAR West (sounds like the startup year for them).
Roster shows 94 drivers from Victoria to Ottawa.
Number of races per year - '88 (5), '89 (9), '90 (10), 91, (12), 92 (12), 93 (15).
I also have copies of the Nov. '92 PRN which features the Super Series final (Sept. 27) on the cover.
I'm sure I have more stuff, just need to find it.

Just found a program from 1992. 87 drivers registered from Alberta to Ottawa + Randy LaTour from Cummins Georgia. It gives the top 3 and stats from each race in 1991. It shows 51 entries for race 11 (Delaware 250 lap Labour Day race). It has the results for the Monroe Race of Champions years '90,'91 & '92. The series was called "The CASCAR Budweiser Super Series".

They keep coming. I just found programs from 1990, '94, 95. Also have a Bud Racing Cayuga program - Victoria Day Weekend signed by Kelly Williams and an official entry blank from the '95 McKerlie-Millen 300 at Delaware ($5,750 to win).

I ran into an old Cascar Budweiser Series driver yesterday, Gord Hayward. He ran super lates, and late models as well as drag racing. He still operates his business GSH Racing Engines in Erin, Ontario . Now in his 60's he is still as active as ever and had quite the projects in his shop . His walls are adorned with pictures of his racing days. The last few years saw him and Bruce Gowland teaming up on pull trucks . We spent about a 1/2 hour bench racing and him showing me all the cool stuff he has collected over the  years . I noticed a couple of Cayuga Dragway time slips on the wall with 8 second passes recorded in his 1/4 miler Camaro that is long gone now .  :)

I don't have any stats right at hand but The Bud Super Series had a number of appearances at Barrie Speedway in the early 90's. I believe the last one was '94 after which they didn't return for quite a few years. The races were Triple 50's. I think I have some PRN's from that era...somewhere...  :P

Every one seems to have left out the old CNE track.  The egg shaped wonder.  Had to almost come to a stop at one end.  Never ran wedge and stagger like that ever.  even tried shifting down for that corner, it was brutal, but fun.  Jimmy Patrick seemed to get a handle though as did Skeeter.

Yes, I have a few pics from the CNE when they ran there in 90, but again, they are on my computer back home. Pretty sure I have Kerry Micks, one of the Patricks & I think Tsoumaris (sp?). I think though, I also put them on my photobucket site not sure as I haven't been in there in some time now.

I also have a number of pics from Barrie taken the summer of 90 while I was on course in Borden.

You MUST have some old pics of my car then, I tried to tag Patrick as much as I could cause he had the hot line, but I didn't have the set up he did!

Yeah I've seen that site, somebody on another forum mentioned it to me, got some good results and schedules outta that one.

Still trying to figure out though when National was cut down to just 4 races and East and West grew larger.
I think ive norrowed that down to the mid 90s but im not totally sure
