Luke Gignac Scores Second Straight Top-10 at Delaware
Luke Gignac kept up his solid start to the OSCAAR Modified season as he’d finish seventh at Delaware Speedway on Friday night.
Gignac started off the night by finishing third in his heat, setting him up to start sixth for the 25-lap feature. Throughout the night, the rookie ran inside of the top-10, battling for spots sixth through ninth. He’d make a move with just a couple laps to go to pass Duane Cinnamon and David Balych to cross the line in the seventh spot.
Notably, this past weekend’s event marked Gignac’s first career start at Delaware Speedway and his second straight OSCAAR top-10 as he finished fifth in the season opener at Flamboro Speedway. He currently sits third in the points standings.
The next race for the OSCAAR Modifieds is at Full Throttle Motor Speedway on June 11. ADAMS Motorsports had success there last year with a pair of top-five finishes.
