DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals Titles Wait in the Wings at The BOS

By Jim Clarke, Clarke Motorsports Communications/First Draft Media

It isn’t just another checkered flag. It’s a win in the most prestigious event on the annual schedule at Brockville Ontario Speedway. Making it to victory lane at the 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar Northeast Fall Nationals could very well be the defining moment of a racer’s career. Many drivers have tried, but only a select few have been fortunate enough to leave the late season spectacular with the hardware that accompanies a trip to victory lane.

In the first 7 editions of this event, a unique cross-section of teams from Ontario, Quebec, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Massachusetts has signed-in to battle head-to-head with the Saturday night home track talent. Brockville Speedway owner/promoter Paul Kirkland says hard work and preparation are the key to Fall Nationals’ success.

“No one in the sport does a better job at making sure their equipment is ready for action than the group who runs here each and every week,” said Kirkland. “They see a variety of different track conditions during our Saturday night shows throughout the year, but the invaders travel around to a number of places – in addition to a regular stop – during the schedule. That gives them a slight advantage when searching for the winning raceday set-up.”

This year’s action is underway Friday, October 14th and features the DIRTcar Small Block Modifieds, Late Models and Street Stocks, with the first green flag at 7:00. The Saturday, October 15th program gets rolling at 4:00 and includes the DIRTcar Big Block and Sportsman Mods, Mini Stock and Outlaw Vintage teams. With live musical entertainment during the weekend extravaganza, Kirkland says that track officials are expecting a strong turn-out on both sides of the fence.

“With the 358 Modified and Sportsman crowns decided at The BOS, everyone will be looking to collect valuable Mr. DIRTcar championship trail points,” said Kirkland. “This will also be the only 2016 date for the Big Block Modifieds at Brockville, so it should be a great weekend.”

For the 8th annual edition of the 1000 Islands RV Northeast Fall Nationals – A Craig Revelle Tribute, presented by St. Lawrence Radiology, Rez-X Racing and sponsored by 103.7 BOB-FM, the Brockville Recorder & Times and CKWS-TV – the Friday, October 14th program has the final Mr. DIRTcar championship event for the 358 Modifieds, Late Models and Street Stocks, with a 7:00 green flag. The Saturday, October 15th agenda is headlined by DIRTcar Big Block Mods, the championship final for Sportsman Modifieds, Mini Stocks and Outlaw Vintage Mods. Racing hits the popular 3/8th of a mile oval on Temperance Lake Road at 4:00.
