Baer Field Motorsports Park up Next for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour

 

Salem, IN (June 27, 2018) – The JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Presented by Chevrolet Performance will continue its eighth season of competition this Saturday with the Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales 100 Presented by JEGS.com at Baer Field Motorsports Park, just south of Fort Wayne, Indiana. Saturday will the first ever series event held at Baer Field Motorsports Park, the series was scheduled to race there last season, but the event had to be postponed twice because of weather, and then finally cancelled on the third attempt again because of weather.

 

The series opened its 2018 season at Birch Run Speedway on April 29th were Michigan veteran Brian Campbell picked up the victory. The series second event was the Short Track U.S. Nationals at Bristol Motor Speedway on May 18th, were Josh Reeves came away with the victory, his first ever win with CRA. Bubba Pollard won the series third event of the season, the Masters of the Pro’s 200 on June 8th at Birch Run Speedway. Cole Williams was victorious in the series last event on June 16th at Salem Speedway.

 

DGR-CROSLEY Rookie of the Year candidate Mason Keller comes into Saturday night’s event as the series Championship point’s leader and the DGR-CROSLEY Rookie of the Year point’s leader after four series events so far in 2018. 2017 series Champion Jack Dossey III is second in series points, he is 12 points behind Keller. Mandy Chick is in third place in series points, she is 32 points behind Dossey III. Michael Clancy Jr. is in fourth place in series points, with Trever McCoy in fifth place. All the top five in points are entered for Saturday night’s event.

 

Several CRA competitor’s from the Fort Wayne area are entered including Fort Wayne’s own Austin Coe, a multi-time winner in the Lawrence Towing CRA Street Stocks, Auburn’s Hunter Jack, a regular on the ARCA/CRA Super Series, New Haven’s James Krueger and Hudson’s Cassten Everidge.

 

Other top CRA entries for Saturday night includes former series event winners Eric Lee, Florida’s Steve Dorer and Jason Dietsch making his 2018 series debut, along with CRA competitors Nate Walton, Wes Griffith Jr., Josh Smith, Shawn Szep, Brandon Varney, Anthony Danta, 2017 Lawrence Towing CRA Street Stock Champion Colby Lane and DGR-CROSLEY Rookie of the Year candidates Nathan Bertino and Tyler Hufford.

 

Birch Run season opener winner Brian Campbell is entered, that win was his six all-time JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour win, putting him in a tie for third on the series all-time win list. Campbell is second in all-time ARCA/CRA Super Series wins with 25 after winning the Money in the Bank series event at Berlin Raceway on June 11th.

 

Former ASA National Tour competitor Robbie Pyle is entered in the JVM Racing #12, it will be his second series event of the 2018 season. Pyle scored four wins with the ASA National Tour and has an ARCA/CRA Super Series victory.

 

New Jersey racer Joe Graf Jr. is entered for Saturday night’s event. Graf is competing full-time with the ARCA Racing Series in 2018 and finished a series high sixth in the last JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour event at Salem Speedway on June 16th.

 

There is an open practice on Friday, pit gates open at 4pm, open practice will go from 5pm until 8pm. Pit gates open on Saturday at 10:30am, the series will have two practice sessions, a 45 minute session at 1pm and a 30 minute session at 2:40pm. Lisa Thomas Salon Qualifying will take place at approximately 4:30pm. The race program is set to begin at 6pm and will include the Jason Dietsch Trailer Sales 100 Presented by JEGS.com for the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Also racing that night will be the Lawrence Towing CRA Street Stocks in a 75 lap feature on the Baer Field 3/8’s mile track. Also in action will be the Baer Field Late Models, Modifieds, Stock FWD’s and Outlaw FWD’s.
