Nearly $21,000 in bonus value to be given to drivers in 2016 at Cornwall Motor Speedway!
Cornwall, Ont –Friday, April 15, 2016 – Martin Bélanger – Cornwall Motor Speedway is proud to announce the drivers bonus program is back for this season and will be worth nearly $21,000 to be given throughout the upcoming season. The program will offer a wide variety of bonuses for all five regular classes. Several sponsors joined the program that will be divided in several categories.
Our biggest category will be the Perfect Attendance Award with over $11,000 in total! Drivers must compete in all events in their respective class to be eligible to the draws that will occur on September 4. Cornwall Motor Speedway will offer a total of five 2016 Pit Passes, one for each regular division. Lafrance Performance is giving 3 dyno sessions being up for grabs in the Modified, Sportsman and Pro-Stock classes, 1 per division will be given. Leaf Racewear will donate a gift certificate worth $250 in each category. Action Race Parts will give a barrel of VP Fuels in Sportsman, while the speedway will give 1 barrel of Fuels that Modified and Pro-Stock will be eligible.
Also part of the Perfect Attendance Award, are three graphic specialists offering a rebate towards a car wrap for 2016. Mr.Sew and Sew will sponsor the Ontario section, Steevy Design and Pixel Design, Quebec and Atomic Design the United-States region.
Several newcomers are joining the Perfect Attendance sponsorship will cool prizes! Qualitek with remote starters, Trick Race Parts with a fiberglass kit for Modified, Kirkey Race Parts with a gift certificate worth $800, Roch Aubin/Alexandria Home Hardware with a Honda gas engine pressure washer and finally MacEwen with 5 gift certificates of a value of 20$ each.
The Halfway Bonus program where the race leader at halfway point during the feature will win a gift certificate or prize money from different sponsors. Bandit Motorsports will be the sponsor of the Modified, Mini-Stock and Novice Sportsman with a bonus of $40, $25 and 25$ for each division respectively. MacEwen is sponsoring the Pro-Stock with a $20 gift certificate and Total Race Supply returns as the sponsor of the Sportsman with a $25 gift certificate. Nearly $2,000 will be given in the Halfway Bonus program.
Pizza Pizza of Cornwall is partnering with the bonus program for the Hard-Luck and Hard Charger award. Each night a driver who has bad luck during his evening will receive a full pizza delivered to his trailer after his event. We will also reward the driver who will pass the most car during his feature event with the hard-charger, again a full pizza will be delivered to his trailer after the race. A rotation between divisions has been established.
Bandit Motorsports is heavily involved in the program with the Performer of the Month Award and also the Best Appearing Car. The Performer of the Month will be given in all divisions at the end of the months of May, June, July and August to the drivers who will have collected the most points, a tie breaker will decide the winner in case of a tie. This program is worth over $1,600. The Best Appearing Car Award will be given in each class in July with fans being able to vote for their favourite car, eligible cars must have participated in all events in May and June in their own division. As well as the 6th place finisher bonus that will be given on a nightly basis and on a rotation.
VP Small Engine Fuels Miss the podium award will be given to the driver who finishes fourth in the feature event with one chosen division per evening. A gift certificate of 50$ towards race fuel will be donated.
Fast Eddie Racewear is joining with a cool bonus, as they will offer a unique t-shirt to the feature winner in each of Cornwall’s regular division.
‘This program is for our drivers that support us on a regular basis as we want to retain them on a weekly basis, our current program has 26 different bonus and 22 of them are for our regulars which is nearly 85%!’’ noted Cornwall PR Director, Martin Bélanger.
