Anyone know how many cars are expected to be at the race? I noticed only 13 or so cars were out the first night for Late Models.

Im not sure what the car count will be. I do no that Ron is going from Delaware and we would be if it wasn't for the scheduling conflict. Sponsor obligations keep us at Delaware. I really wish these promoters would get together when putting the schedules in place. I would think Shaw will be there, as I read somewhere hes on a roll. Maybe a few other Flammy guys as well. Wish we could go especially since the plate rule has been changed. Its a great race track, we would love to go race there. I wish Derek the best on this one and I hope that we go to the next one.

Yeah the late models only had 1 extra car compared to starting night.  Shaw would have run better but got caught in an accident during qualifying.  What do you mean Larry might finish 3rd?  The only question I heard in the pits was did Steve pit during the race and thus should have been scored a lap down.

If that were the case, then the #84 and #71 should also be a lap down, and the 55....Under caution even with laps counting, if you had to pit...you were not counted as being laps down.

Thanks for clarifying as the discussion at the track was that if you did pit you were supposed to be put a lap down.  So I wonder why the question mark besides Jackson's name for finishing third?  Anyone know?

Who knows....does it matter....the races are over and it says he finished 3rd and cheques were given out....so he's third.

Did anyone actually SEE tiemersma come into the pits under that early caution?? and if so, did he come in BEFORE or AFTER they started counting caution laps?? also....what was with all the RF tire problems??

I believe both 67 and 84 came into the pits during that
caution.  It appeared to me that the field did about
1 lap before the 67 came back out and about 2 laps
before the 84 came back, but I'm not sure.  I also
don't know when they started counting caution laps.
They said that the caution came out at lap 20, and
that when they would restart, it would be at lap 23.

I agree with you Cosmo the race is over, and hey he did one heck of a job after getting involved in the accident to work his way back up through and finish 3rd.  Wonder if the teams weren't prepared for the RF to heat up as much as they did last night as watching a number of cars coming into corner 1 the right front was glowing red fairly early in the 100 lap event.

They told everyone (ie the drivers and crews) that they were going to count caution laps tonight because of time restrictions, but coming pit side during a caution would not lose you laps as per any other regular night.  In all honesty could you have expected anything else if we were not allowed to pit on pit road.

Cosmo after the race Morgan and Brown said at the drivers meeting they were told if you pit u go a lap down,I agree it is the stupidist rule I have ever heard but if you make rules stick by them.

Well I guess maybe I am wrong.  But like I said earlier the race is over...no need talking about it any further...Many other cars pitted and stayed on the lead lap.

Besides, does anyone want to win a race by having the first place car dq'd for something like that.

Yes I can see tech infractions being an issue if that car were outside the rules.
