Zac Sprung Crashes Out of Battle of the Beach at Sauble Speedway
This past weekend did not go as Zac Sprung hoped at Sauble Speedway, as he’d crash out of the Battle of the Beach.

The Sprung Motorsports driver started off the night with hopes of a solid performance following last week’s heat victory and began the first qualifier off well, though right away he knew there was problems. A broken steering component would cause him to hit the wall out of the turn, then spin a lap later in turn three before being hit head-on by a fellow competitor. With heavy damage sustained, his night would officially be over.

Sprung and his team will hope to get their season back on track this coming weekend in the next night of points competition at Sauble Speedway.

While his eyes are set on having success, he’s also raising money for Camp Bucko, which stands for “Burn Camp for Kids.” It is a place for children who have been involved in traumatic accidents and fires resulting in serious burn injuries. He has already raised $1,035 towards the year-end goal of $5000.

Be sure to stop by and see Sprung at the track, as for a minimum donation of $5, you will be allowed to autograph his racecar. Fans interested in making a donation online can do so by going to www.campbucko.ca, making sure to mention Zach Sprung #4 firefriendsfamily campaign to link it to the fundraising efforts at the track.

Sprung Motorsports is proud to be supported by Swiss chalet and Harveys of Owen Sound, Grey Bruce Meter Service, Tom Carruthers’ Property Maintenance, Pinkerton’s Carquest Wiarton, Adam’s Professional Painting, Macdonnell Excavating, Idol and Anchor Collingwood, Bear Wheel and Brake, Pro Sport Fan Shop, and Tobermory Marine.
