$10,000 to win O’Canada 150 this Thursday evening at Cornwall Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Monday, August 14, 2017 – Martin Bélanger – It is now time for our biggest event of the year! The O’Canada 150 is less than 3 days away this coming Thursday evening with a 150-lap feature event for the Modified with $10,000 to win, a 50-lap race for our Sportsman and twin 15s for the Mini-Stock on St-Lawrence Radiology night.

One of the biggest field of cars is expected for Thursday with a total purse of $32,300 on the line for the 30 cars that will qualify for the 150-lap feature, we already have confirmation of some stars of the Super DIRTcar Series as Brett Hearn and Tim Fuller will be in attendance, plus our weekly talented field and several drivers hauling from Ontario and Quebec.

Also sharing the schedule will be the Assist2Sell Sportsman with a 50-lap feature paying $1,000 to win and over $5,500 in total purse. This event will be a great prelude for the final Race for the Cure Sportsman feature scheduled for this Sunday. Again, several invaders are expected to compete this Thursday.

The Polar Sound DJ Services Mini-Stock division will complete the evening having two features of 15 laps planned, some of the drivers will look into banking 2 wins in one night!

For this coming Sunday, the pit gates will open at 3 pm with a cost of $45 and the general admission will open their doors at 4:30pm with a cost of $35 for adults, $18 for seniors and $5 for kids 16 years old and under. Modified will have time trials at 6:30pm with qualifying races scheduled to start at 7pm.
