Big-Block Modifieds and Sprint Cars to Highlight Action in 2014

‘The Fast Track’ special events include World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars,
Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds and ESS Speedweek
ELBRIDGE, N.Y. - April 17, 2014 - Five nights featuring the world's top dirt track stars and the fastest dirt track race cars are on tap for 2014 at Rolling Wheels Raceway Park.
The 800-horsepower Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds, World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars, Empire Super Sprints and other DIRTcar stars attack "The Fast Track" in 2014, bringing fans one of the most exciting schedules in the history of the 5/8-mile clay oval.
"Rolling Wheels is one of the premier motorsports facilities in Central New York," said Rolling Wheels General Manager Jeff Hachmann. "It has built a tradition on running must-see events, and in 2014 we have put together five events that feature the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars, Super DIRTcar Series and two new mid-week specials showcasing all DIRTcar divisions. If that isn't enough, back after popular demand, everyone who buys a ticket in advance to the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car event in October will receive a FREE Fan Pit Pass at no additional charge. I can't think of a better way to get up close and personal with 'The King' Steve Kinser and create memories that last a lifetime."
Two special Thursday night events on June 26 and July 24 highlight DIRTcar Thursday Night Thunder. DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Sportsman and Stock Cars will be on the card for Thursday, June 26, and DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Racesaver 305 Sprint Cars and Stock Cars will be featured on Thursday, July 24.
On Thursday, July 3, the Super DIRTcar Series action heats up with the 'Stars & Stripes' Summer Super Show presented by Dig Safely 811 featuring the Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modifieds and Empire Super Sprints. This blockbuster event will feature eight-time and defending series champion Brett Hearn in his pursuit for a record-setting ninth title, three-time champ Matt Sheppard's quest to regain supremacy, and Round #2 of ESS Speedweek for the 360 Sprint Cars. To celebrate the nation's birthday, a huge fireworks display will light up the sky on this special midweek event.
Saturday, Sept. 28, will bring the ESS Championship and Go Nuclear Late Model Series to Elbridge. It will be the first time the Go Nuclear Series has tackled 'The Fast Track' and the first time any Late Model series has competed at Rolling Wheels since 2012. In addition to this first, the Empire Super Sprints will return to decide their champion in the ESS Championship.
The final event of the Rolling Wheels season on Saturday, Oct. 11, showcases the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Cars as part of NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week in what has become a can't-miss event with championship implications every year. Making this year even more special, it will mark the final event at Rolling Wheels for 20-time World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car champion Steve Kinser on his "Salute to the King" tour. Plus, the annual DIRTcar Big-Block Modified "Win-and-You're-In" 25-lap feature that night will lock in the final competitor to the Syracuse 200 at the New York State Fairgrounds.
