hey team27  . it is just a poll ? a poll is asking the peoples opinion ? you think it is a stupid question but others might not ? maybe other people are not impressed with all the changes he has made to sauble speedway ? he used to have everything all together years ago but he seems to be offering less and less every year and driving racers away ? my opinion means nothing but im not sure im the only one with this opinion !!! maybe ask the 4cyl sportsman guys of the past -maybe ask the junior sportsman guys -maybe ask the all pro modified drivers of the past ? -alstar series drivers that now have no series to run ? and he will not even try to run a LMS home series ? you must be his best friend or something ? because you are a bit blinded !!! yes he is one of the best promoters i have seen !! he could sell a deep freeze to eskimo but provide a good show for the fans ? $18-20 to watch 2 classes of racing and 2 or 3 4cyls run and go home in 2 hours ????? ill go to varney or peteborough THANX !!!!!!

Joe Chisolm is no friend   of mine, but l admire the man because he is a leader, the only track l ever went to were they announced that they were closing the gates due to capacity and if you were not happy with your view come and get your money back,ah those were the days.3 tracks have the same problem ,Joe can survive due to the vacationers .Ptbo, Cayuga,Sunset,Sauble  ,but ole Joe he will show them all how to make a buck. All people want to do is criticise wait till Joe announces his latest move it will stop racing in Ontario in its tracks.

Hey what does it have to do with us when a user posts a poll and I take offense to these comments. You feel that our site is the reason track close and series die off? I wish I had powers like that. It is a users poll and nothing to with the site owner me.  ???  :'(

just a guess but Joe did have a poll going at some mall show up that way asking if people wanted to see the NCTS at Sauble beach so maybe that could be the announcement!

Without a proper pit road, I highly doubt Sauble will get a NCTS race, although that would be cool to see. When the guy from the series was on Race Time Radio the other week, he was dodging questions left and right, especially the ones that Joe raised about getting a race at Sauble.

team27 -yeah i think i should have worder the question slightly different . Um
yeah i know chisolm and sauble will survive 2007 -yes the man knows how to promote -hes probably the best in ontario-yes i favour sauble speedway over most other tracks -but only if there is some decent racing program in effect !!
yes he comes up with stuff at last moment and surprises everyone - i dont dislike him but he can be arrogant and refuse to listen to drivers and opinions-yes i really miss the show he had in the years after he purchased sauble speedway and was trying to build the ultimate entertainment facility ,when he had the best show of any track probably in ontario -but then he started dismantling it with no regard for racers which support his track !!! check out the racing parts and cars for sale on his website ? im worried that car counts will be worse than ever ? anyway i will eagerly anticipate his announcement !!!?? and it wouldnt surprise me if it rocks the racing world in ontario !!!

I can't be bothered reading all the posts on this subject.  I agree with team27, any poll about the viability of a track, or who will win the season championship is a waste of time (racewoman is correct, don't agree ------ don't vote.)

A NASCAR Canadian Tire Series event could easily be held at Sauble if you run a 200 lap feature and take a competition yellow at the halfway mark to allow 5 minutes for any changes a crew wishes to make to the car: fuel, tires, etc.  Joe probably already has a sponsor lined up and the support of local Canadian Tire stores.  CASCAR last was there in 1994 or 1995 with a 100 lap race.  Delaware, Barrie and Sauble were the founding tracks/promoters of CASCAR in 1981.

I can't see NASCAR wanting to do a 5 minute break though, especially with how far pit crews have come. The track is capable though, and they could do pit stops on the outer pit road as long as there are no other divisions racing that day.

Even the NEXTEL Cup Series has been known to throw a competition yellow when they want to check out tire wear, so I would not use the lack of pit road as an excuse for not having a race at Sauble. Or make it 150 laps. With cautions counting the cars should be able to go that distance on a full tank.
