what kind of series is this? just for the guys with big dollars? you can not run unless you have run fifty percent of the races at your home track. so if you got a late start to season you are not able to run. if some one was only planning to run a limited schedule it pretty much takes you out of any chance to run this series. i have never seen any series here or south of the border with this kind of format. sponsors are hard to come by,so if you planned on running this series with potential sponsorship on how you done in overall points for series you could miss out on a good opportunity. oh well ,just another brain fart by a promoter, we should be used to this by now, its always about them not the drivers.

I guess they have to have some rules. You could always race invitationals at other tracks?

I'm not a racer and just responding as a race fan. I think this is what people have been talking about for years. Getting tracks to work together.

It's a 7 race mini series which I think will do well as, we get to see the best of the best from 5 different tracks battle it out in a series not just one race like the invitationals. This will give a driver bragging right's. for sure.

This is what the Ontario Stock Car Association guy was trying to do but someone beat him to it now.

This is a win for the Fans, Drivers & Tracks.

New section made for the series.

what other invitationals? peterboro has chase for the colours ( also part of this series ), barrie does not have any, and sunset, well you have to pay your registration to run there and if you only run once why would you want to pay for registration. as far as rules, yes they do have to have some. which is why your car has to fit limited late model rules, whether it be peterboro, sunset, barrie or any other track that has them. alstar, cascar ( oops, sorry ) nascar cts, oscaar does not have this rule so why would they put that rule in there. it hurts the little guy that tries to run when they can and still have some fun. personally, i think a lot of people, drivers, promoters have forgot that this is just for fun.

I highly doubt they that will turn away cars and I cannot see them sitting there at the gate, with points sheets from every track,  Checking to make sure you have ran 50% of the races this season from a certain track.     Man poeple just love to complain

well we are entitled to voice our opinion, i mean i have seen you on here and countless others getting their say. i am only stating what was put on here by mark dilley, he put out a release and it says  ( you must have run fifty percent of races at your home track ), to be able to run this series. now my thinking would be that they must have some way to check this or they would not even say that.

you have run 50% of barrie's features they have 8 starts and u have 4. Thats 50% of the races so you are able to run the series. That was easy to figure out

OK he would be able to race. you say he has raced 4 times at Barrie. Barrie has only had 7 races so even if he doesn't race on the 26th he would be at 50% at his home track and 2 race days were rained out.

The first race is on July 2nd.

Are we talking about later events of this new series?

As far as I know...each track makes their own payout. Heard sauble had extra sponsor money put in for tc's and it may be 700 to win.

What sucks about this format is that if you are a driver from either delaware, varney or flamboro - you have to change your car to fit the rules of another track. To me that seems a little unfair. When you go to most invitationals, according to where you are from, you usually just have to change weight and all that sort of stuff - but to change a car from say varney rules to the rules to barrie - it's going to be a hassle and a big disadvatage to make such a big change to your car.

I love the idea of this series and I do believe that it is going to be a success and we'll see lots of very good racing.
But... is it being fair and inclusive for every track...?? my opinion is no.
