Customer - A person that buys - esp. one who buys regularly.
Member - any of the persons constituting an organization or group
Sponsors to be honest could careless who the members are they just want to see impressions on the site. I know it is bad but that how internet marketing works. Their is targeted marketing and impression based.
the only point that i will disagree with you on is members are customers, their currency is time a very valuable commodity in todays world. just like the countless hours you have put in here, that the value of the site.thats what you are selling to the sponsors
