Oval debut for Marcus. Only previous Oval Race experience was a rainy heat at the aborted Garry Reynolds event at Barrie the previous week.

Started the Feature in the second-last spot after having almost fouled up the last chance race by looping on lap one from outside Pole but recovering to a qualifying position. 

Finished 18th in the feature.
