The rumour has Kyle Busch out of the #5 car, and possibly to DEI in the #8 car. Or Casey Mears to the #5 car with Dale Jr. going into the #25 car with Budweiser.

With going to the COT full time, who's to say Hendicks didn't lobby for an increase in the number of teams allowed as a trade off.
Dale JR. in a Hendicks car would make it an easy sell.

Actually, I heard the conference was being called to announce that Childress is finally givng over the rights to the number 3 over to DEI. As a sort of finger in the air to Teresa, Jr then brokered a deal with Penske that will see Kurt Busch sporting the 3.

See...Jr's only there to lend his support!

Imagine that it plays out this way:

Budweiser stays as the sponsor for the #8 car, and Kyle Busch ends up driving it! Think of how many southern folk will be cutting off their limbs to rid themselves of their #8 budwieser tatoos!
