2011 World of Outlaw Dirt Late Model Champion Rick Eckert will be coming to Brighton Speedway! Eckert, nicknamed "Scrub," will join Chub Frank on Saturday, June 23rd as they take on four of Brighton Speedway's local heroes in their Super Late Models. Eckert, with his Bloomquist Chassis 800 horse power super Late Model, won the 2011 WOO championship at the Dirt Track at Lowe's Motor Speedway during the final event of the season on the last lap over Josh Richards. Eckert is also a past Dream 100 winner at Eldora Speedway where he collected a $100,000.00 pay day!

"It is cool enough to be racing these guys when they come to our area but to be racing them on our own home track is awesome," states last week's Late Model winner #29 Phil Potts. Potts picked up his second win of the season and will be competing with fellow Brighton Speedway regulars, #11 Corey Earl who has one feature win in 2012, #57 Charlie Sandercock who has picked up two features so far this season and the 2011 track champion #25 Greg Belyea.

Frank and Eckert will be on hand early in the night to meet and greet fans and sign autographs in the courtyard. The five drivers will have 2 hot lap sessions to tune their super Late Models and then will compete in the 10 lap Deerhaven Farm and Garden/Dibbits Excavating Dash for Cash. Other sponsors of the event include Sandercock Farms, Gord's Water Service, Image Landscaping, Excel Tower Service and Hellraiser Race Car Bodies.

Frank, Eckert and the local heroes will be part of an action packed night on June 23rd as they join the Bill's John's Comp 4, The Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks, Bainer's Radiator Canadian Modifieds, the Gord's Water Vantastics and the Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club as they make their first of two appearances. Also on hand June 23rd, presented by Adecco, will be the Monster Truck duo of Krazy Train and Aftershock! Both trucks and their pilots will be available in the courtyard between 5:00pm and 7:00pm for autographs! For more info visit www.brightonspeedway.com
