FASTRAK Headed To Historic ELDORA Speedway
 for 2nd Annual “Chassis Challenge”
[/B]

Carnesville, GA (July 28) FASTRAK officials, teams and drivers are loading up for the return to Eldora Speedway for the 2nd Annual FASTRAK “Chassis Challenge” weekend. Starting Friday, July 31st with a practice day, FASTRAK has lots of race related events to offer racers, crew chief’s and fans.

Racers will get to drive the historic track on Friday to familiarize them with the half-mile dirt racing facility’s layout. Crew Chiefs and their respective team members are invited to the many seminars planned by the respective chassis builders on Saturday morning. Meanwhile fans can enjoy meeting the stars of the series at two autograph sessions planned by FASTRAK. The first session will be at the Greenville Wal-Mart from 11AM until 1PM, with the second scheduled with the TOP-6 qualifiers at the FASTRAK souvenir trailer, during the heat race and consi action for the rest of the field.

FASTRAK returns to the dirt half-mile on Friday, July 31st and Saturday, August 1st for the 2nd Annual “Chassis Challenge.” The winning chassis manufacturer gets $1000 from FASTRAK and takes possession of the HUGE “Chassis Challenge Cup” Trophy until next year’s event. At which time they will return it, just like Stan Goddard at Warrior Chassis will have to do this year, and hand it to the new winner. Mind you, if Warrior can manage a repeat of last year’s results, they’ll get to be the first ever “repeat winner” of the “Chassis Challenge Cup”.

“The Big E”, as it is known in racing circles, is located in western Ohio, just outside the small town of New Weston. Eldora plays host to some of the nation’s largest dirt racing events, including “The Prelude”, “The Dream”, “The Kings Royal”, and “The World 100.”  All of which attract over 20,000 spectators on an annual basis. Adding the “Chassis Challenge” to a historic and worldwide brand like Eldora Speedway has meant a lot to the success of FASTRAK.

“After last year’s “Chassis Challenge”, we gained some credibility in a lot of areas,” stated FASTRAK Founder, Stan Lester. “To be associated with such a marquee name like ‘Tony Stewart’ has been wonderful for the series. The teams and the chassis builders that take part have supported us all year and seem to really enjoy this format to recognize the chassis builders.”

The Eldora Speedway lodging page has our FASTRAK “HOST HOTEL” listed first on the page. The Botkins Budget Host INN has everything racers and fans needs in a Host Hotel; a race themed restaurant, The Finish Line Bar & Grille; low cost rooms, starting at $32; big rig and hauler parking, 14 spots; and the little in room things that make a short stay that much easier on the traveler. Don’t forget the Finish Line Bar & Grille after the Feature Race Saturday night will be available to meet and swap stories with the drivers and crews until 2:30AM.

For those of you whom have never been to Eldora Speedway, you’re in for a treat. Located at; 13929 State Road 118, in New Weston, OH, Tony Stewart’s jewel is only a short drive north from Dayton, OH (55mi) and south from Fort Wayne (65mi). Both Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH are under 2 hours away, with both I-75 and I-70 making it an easy drive to Eldora from almost anywhere.

I was there, highlight of the feature was two lapped cars wrecking in turn one after the checkered right in front of the winner and bending up the car had to tow it onto the scales.  BTW wow loud crates.  The sprint race was better but then again I am biased.
