March 21, 2012 - Shediac's CENTRE for Speed is pleased to announce that Michel Castonguay has joined its team as Director of Marketing and Promotions and Co-Owner.
Tim Wile, President of the new organization, announced today that Castonguay, a NB native, will also take on responsibities increasing exposure of the faciliity in the community and throughout the region. "I'm pleased to have Michel on board" said Tim Wile - President and GM of the new organization.
"He has a diverse background of entrepreneurial successes from concerts to food service to hospitality and more and his skills will serve our facility well as we focus on growth in the coming months" Castonguay, says he will focus his initial efforts on adding entertainment value for fans, drivers and sponsors to the upcoming season of motorsports events and then on filling the grandstands. The team has taken several significant steps in support of its 2012 objective to date and expects to begin announcements in the near future.
CENTRE for Speed is a 128 acres facility which houses "...one of North America's best Short Track Racing facilities for the size market it serves" according to a 1999 Stock Car Racing Magazine article.
