Wally Wilson Enters Velocity 250 on Heels of Career-Best Finish
INNISFIL, Ontario — As the 2018 season begins to enter the ever-important playoff time of the year, Wally Wilson is beginning to find his footing in the OSCAAR Modified division.

Earlier this month at Sauble Speedway, he performed well on home turf, starting off the double-header weekend with a pair of sixths and fifth in qualifying race action. Although Saturday’s feature got rained out, the potential was displayed on Sunday. Despite being involved in a mid-race incident, Wilson would fight back to score a ninth-place finish. For Wilson, it marks his career-best finish in his second season of OSCAAR Modified competition.

Wilson will hope to carry the momentum to Sunset Speedway in a couple weeks as it will play sight to the Velocity 250 weekend on Saturday, September 22 and Sunday, September 23. With constant improvement in each of his visits to the 1/3-mile oval north of Toronto, Wilson will hope to break into the top-10 following a track-best 12th-place finish in his most recent appearance.

With his success this year, it is worth noting that Wilson currently ranks 10th in the OSCAAR standings, just 19 points behind ninth.

There is also a possibility that WIlson will be doing double-duty, driving the No. 69 Outlaw Midget as well as he hopes to build upon the top-five finishes he has been able to pick up thus far this season. For more information on that, though, you will need to stay tuned the social media outlets as plans with the midget have yet to be finalized.

Wilson’s efforts are supported by The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Have1.com, Larry’s Small Engines, and Wix Filters. Wally Wilson Racing is a proud supporter of #BurnOutTheBully and Laps for Muscular Dystrophy..
