Canadian Nationals Modified and Cindy Ladouceur Memorial Mini-Stock Series this Sunday at Cornwall Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Thursday, August 3, 2017 – Martin Bélanger – Cornwall Motor Speedway will kick-off a busy month of August in a great way this coming Sunday as the second round of the Canadian Nationals Modified Series and the final race of the Cindy Ladouceur Memorial Mini-Stock Series will be presented along with a complete program on West Front Construction Night.

Chris Raabe started the Canadian Nationals Series in a great way by winning the initial round over Luke Whitteker and Steve Bernard. A total of 26 cars had gathered to the remake date back in early July as a total of 31 cars attempted to qualify for the first race. We expect similar numbers to compete in the 125-lap race as Raabe is currently in a good position for a double championship, leading also the track championship entering into August.

The third and final round of the Cindy Ladouceur Memorial Series will also be on the schedule as Brighton regular, Tyler French holds the lead in points with a 22-point advantage over Mike Gaucher. The battle is real close for positions two to five as only 6 points separates Gaucher, Alexis Charbonneau, Francis Desjardins and Marc Dagenais. Along with the 25-lap event, a special Dash for Cash involving the top 6 in the Series points will also be run with the winner of the 5-lap race will receive a bonus of $250 courtesy of Sandy Kyers.

The Tracy Wheeler Assist2Sell Sportsman and Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock divisions are also slated to compete as both categories will have a 25-lap event. A total of 200 laps of feature racing will be completed on Sunday evening!

For this coming Sunday, the pit gates will open at 2 pm with a cost of $40 and the general admission will open their doors at 4:30pm with a cost of $30 for adults, $15 for seniors and $2 for kids 16 years old and under. Modified will have time trials at 6pm with qualifying races scheduled to start at 6:30pm
