Side By Side Racing Highlights Weekend

Varney  ON-  While other series where busy tearing up race cars this past weekend fans at Full Throttle Motor Speedway where treated to nothing but go close side by side racing action.  Even giving the fact it was back to back nights of racing action drivers were able to load their cars with little work to do this week.

The highlight class of the weekend had to be the Street Stocks, over both nights the majority of the racing was side by side with little to no contact between cars and some of the most exciting finishes fans have seen all season long.  In Friday night action feature one would go to #01 Travis Farrow from Holstein, second #6 Rob Wark from Chesley, third #3 Mark King from Hillsburgh, fourth #5 Dave Grey Jr from Hanover and fifth #7 Paul Huskins from Kitchener.  Feature two would go to #6 Rob Wark with second going to #20 Ryan Edwards-Kiss from Londesboro, third #01 Travis Farrow, fourth #3 Mark King and fifth #7 Paul Huskins.  Saturday’s action saw feature one going to #35 Mike Thebeau from Mitchell, second #20 Ryan Edwards-Kiss, third #01 Travis Farrow, fourth #7 Paul Huskins and rounding out the top five #6 Rob Wark.  Feature two came down to the wire with #01 Travis Farrow edging out #20 Ryan Edwards-Kiss, third would go to #35 Mike Thebeau, fourth #6 Rob Wark and fifth #3 Mark King.

Mini Stock action on Friday night had #35 Bobby Tolton from Rockwood taking both features.  Second in feature one would go to #36 Corry Young from Owen Sound, third #73 Scott Schlueter from Stratford, fourth #7 Paul Boyd from Harriston and fifth #6 Travis McLean from Harriston.  In feature two second would go to #73 Scott Schlueter, third #36 Corry Young, fourth #7 Paul Boyd and rounding out the top five #34 T.J. Edwards from Fergus.  In Saturday action feature one would go to #36 Corry Young, second #63 Brandon Crumbie from Cookstown, third #34 T.J. Edwards, fourth #7 Paul Boyd and fifth #14 Brian Wilson from Rockwood.  Feature two would see #63 Brandon Crumbie return to Victory Lane followed by #35 Bobby Tolton, third #36 Corry Young, fourth #14 Brian Wilson, and fifth #7 Paul Boyd.

In Outlaw Late Model action Friday night saw the return of #76 Tyler Williams from Chesley to the highbanks as he would edge out #11 Cole Weber from New Hamburg for the first feature.  Third would go to #40 Mark Dixon from Durham, fourth #00 Trevor Thompson from Elmira and fifth #36 Gary Elliott from Waterdown.  In Feature two #11 Cole Weber was able to edge out the #76 Tyler Williams and return to Victory Lane once again.  Third was again #40 Mark Dixon, fourth #36 Gary Elliott and rounding out the top five #00 Trevor Thompson.

Crazy Train racing Friday night had another seven sets battling it out going four wide at one point through corners three and four to the delight of fans.  In feature one it was Crazy Till We Die, Texas Traincar Massacre, Rockford Rednecks and The Gong Show rounding out the top four.  In feature two it would be Texas Traincar Massacre followed by the Rockford Rednecks, Crazy Till We Die and Shake Rattle N Roll.

The Fun Stock class only raced once this past weekend on Saturday and in feature one it would be #25 Billy Lovell from Mildmay taking the checker followed by #73 Jordan Morris from London, third #84 Andrea Parsons from Clifford, forth #48 John Green from Drayton and fifth #21 Nick Clarke from Clifford.  In feature two it would be the young gun #34 Alex Hastie from Durham bringing home the checker, second would go to #21 Nick Clarke, third #32 Ben Klages from Hanover, #73 Jordan Morris and rounding out the top five the other young gun #4 Dawson Urbanek from Holyrood.

This coming weekend Full Throttle 5 KM’s south of Durham on Highway 6 will host another double header weekend kicking off Friday night at 7:30 PM with Fun Stocks, Mini Stocks, Super Trucks and the Super Dave Grey Memorial Street Stock race.  Saturday things heat up on the highbanks at 5PM with Fun Stocks, Mini Stocks, Super Trucks, Street Stocks and the Crazy Trains!  Grandstands open Friday at 5PM and at 3PM on Saturday and you can check out all the action either night for just $13.00 ages 11 and up and $2.00 ages 10 and under.
