JASON WHITE MAKING THE MOVES AT JUKASA

June 16, 2018. Jason White was back in actin and had a speedy #28 Powder Ventures Excavating Dodge in his hands at round number two of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series this past Saturday at Jukasa Motor Speedway. In fact White would wind up passing more cars for position than any other competitor during the 200-lap race.

White sat in this #28 Powder Ventures Dodge and turned his first laps during the one-hour afternoon practice session. “The DJK guys worked right up until the last minute to make sure this car was just right and they did a great job” said White.  “It felt great right away”.

Starting from the 17thspot on the grid White looked for opportunity to advance his #28 Powder Ventures Dodge forward with the drop of the green flag.  “I just love racing at Jukasa Speedway, the job they did renovating this place is amazing.  The track is so smooth and you can really race hard and I was able to move forward”.

In the late stages of the race White believed he was on the lead lap but was scored one lap down by NASCAR officials. Rather than frustrate the #28 Powder Ventures driver he dug in and pushed hard in the final laps and caught a break when he received the free pass getting back on the same lap as the leaders. Powering his way to the checkered flag White scored an 11thplace finish.

“Would have liked to qualify a little better, but a lot of positives from this race.  We did get the award for most positions advanced.  The car doesn’t have a mark on it and when you’re disappointed about just missing the top-ten that means we’ve set our sights higher.  We learned a few things today and we’ll make some adjustments so we’re better when we come back later in the year” said White.

Jason White will be back behind the wheel of the #21 Powder Ventures Excavating car next at the Toronto Indy weekend in July. You can watch the race from Jukasa Motor Speedway on Saturday June 23rdat 2PM ET/10AM PT.
