Wally Wilson Stays Determined Despite Practice Crash at Jukasa
While it wasn’t the day that Wally Wilson originally envisioned at Jukasa Motor Speedway, his grit and determination earned him praise from fellow competitors and fans alike.

The day didn’t start off well as in the second practice for the OSCAAR Modifieds, Wally Wilson would make significant contact with the turn three/four wall, causing damage to the No. 69 Modified. While there was thoughts that the day was over right then, that wasn’t set to be the case. Through the determination of the team, along with help from Mike Westwood, Hawn Racing, Mike Hearty, Cory Horner’s team, and others, repairs were made to get the car back on-track for action later on that day.

While he missed his qualifying heat due to repairs, he was able to start the 40-lap feature from the tail of the field. Dealing with some parts still shaking, Wilson made five laps in the main event, before pulling off into the pits. The modified is currently at Mike Westwood’s shop, where repairs are being made so Wilson can be back on-track for the next event.

The OSCAAR Modifieds will be back in action at Jukasa Motor Speedway on June 23 alongside the OSCAAR Hot Rod Series and Ontario Outlaw Super Late Models.

Wilson’s efforts are supported by The Fyre Place & Patio Shop, Have1.com, and Wix Filters. Wally Wilson Racing is a proud supporter of #BurnOutTheBully and Laps for Muscular Dystrophy..
