Kevin Bridge Hopeful for Better Luck Moving Forward
While hoping to start off his 2018 campaign at Sauble Speedway on a high note, things did not go as planned this past Saturday night for Kevin Bridge.

Bringing the No. 17 CRX out for the first time this year, Bridge struggled with motor issues from the drop of the green flag in the first heat. As a result, he would place last in each of the qualifiers, as well as the feature later on that night.

Although not how he envisioned the season opener going, confidence is high to get things turned around moving forward, beginning with next weekend, as he hopes to score his third straight track championship. And despite things not being so positive to start off his own campaign, it is nice to see the track kicking things off on a solid note with 2018 being their first year under NASCAR-sanctioning.

“It’s a big thing, not only for sponsors but the community as well,” Bridge said of the NASCAR-sanctioning. “I know talking to (track owners) Mark (Dilley) and Paul (Gresel) that a lot of new sponsors have come onboard, as well as sponsors that had given up on Sauble are coming back. So it’s breathing a lot of new life into Sauble Speedway, which is great to see.”

The team knows they can get the job done, as showcased in Sunset Speedway’s Spring Velocity last month, with Bridge starting off the Great Lakes Concrete Series in victory lane. Sauble Speedway has the next three straight Saturdays set for track points events, before hosting the second round of the Great Lakes Series on July 1.

Kevin Bridge Racing is proud to be supported by LiUNA, Coldwell Banker – Kincardine, UPI Energy, Spira Fire Protection, Permatex, Huronview Insurance Brokers Ltd., Daniel Kelley Custom Cabinetry, Gilcreest Speed and Custom, and Castrol.
