There are four Canadians registered so far for the ARCA race . Pierre Bourque ,Terry Jones , Ryan Fischer and Mario Gosselin . The only one that is truly competitive is Gosselin and he will be fast enough that he could win it . Bourque who will be 50 this year and has no super speedway experience i expect him to do about as well as he did in his Craftsman Truck debut at IRP last year . Terry Jones has run a half a dozen ARCA races but has only finished on the lead lap once which was at Winchester where he did run sixth being the last car on the lead lap .  Only six cars did not blow up or were in a wreck that day but he did keep out of trouble all day at Winchester which is an accomplishment in of it self . Jones is sort of a cautious driver and maybe able to bring it home on one piece but i doubt it will be on the lead lap .Ryan Fischer has very little racing experience and i don't think he has even ever won a short track stock car race . This will be his third time in the Venturini Motorsports. His first time he barrel rolled it down the back chute at Gateway in a very big wreck . His second ARCA race was at Dega where he qualified last and just drove around at the back but since it was a cautionfest he never got lapped . He ran around 30th but the only cars behind him were missing fenders. I know he was fastest in single car runs for one session in Daytona ARCA testing but they only did tech for safety not to see if they were legal and i think there may have been a little somethin somethin going on there. My guess is that Ryan will finish on a roll back. edited for coc

Mario was born in Quebec in 1971. His family moved to Florida in 1981, when he was nine years old. He is a fulltime resident of Lake Wales, FL. Mario started racing at Hialeah, FL in 1990. I do not know what his citizenship status is or whether he views himself a an American, a Canadian, a Quebecois, or something else. Maybe someone could ask him.

Goose has dual citzenship but always calls Quebec home and Florida where he resides. He still has most of his extended family here and returns to visit on a fairly regular basis . He is a old school racer who can still build them and fix them besides driving the wheels off them . If you go to New Smyrna during Speed Weeks you can find him in the pits most nights after the ARCA deal is done .

Was Ryan Fischer in an actual Venturrini car for 'dega, or was it a loaner car from someone else entered as the 25? I guess in his defense, the Venturrini stuff hasn't been as stout relative to the field as it was a couple of years ago...

I did not say he caused the wreck but imo a better driver would have not have stuffed it into the wall like he did . The bottom line  is he is finishing on a roll back again as i said he would .
