Love those old pics! Thanks for resurrecting the thread. The Erb and the Turner pic are probably around my timeframe, (about 1980?) but pretty sure I was a mere toddler around the time of the rest of them.

And wow....Flamboro really has had a full grandstand.

sorry -my computer knowledge is not sofisticated enough to make a link but if you go to www.raceny.com and go to the discussion and toggle on "If you like old modifieds and have some time" topic, you'll be amazed. Click on the first post (where it says Archive through March 29) as there has a pissing contest lately re copyrights.

A lot of the pitures are taken from books as one even shows thew page number.

I'm not sure how copyright works on old photos. Not sure if they become publick domain after so many years like music, books and movies do.

You can do it like this.

see below when you start reply or start a new topic it says download image shack tool bar? click browse find the image then click host it and then it will upload to imageshack and choose the direct link code cut it by ctrl-c and then in your message on here you click on the image icon beside the youtube icon and it will do this

Code: [Select]
or you can have it hosted somewhere else and insert your code in between the image command.

Hope I didn't post it like a techy would.

I've never noticed this thread before, but Statsman, do you have any more pics of Fred Bullen you could post?
He's my grandfather, and my parents lost almost every picture we had of his cars in a house fire shortly after he quit racing years ago.

Showed these to Herb and Bill today and got a little history on that car, Herb said it's ironic that we came across that pic as it was "32" years ago Bill had that car, appearantly Don Biederman built that thing and Stu Hunter owned it, when Stu was killed Bill bought the car from Stu's wife.

These pictures sure do bring back great memories.  I remember Ruttman showing up late at Delaware with that AVC Camaro...rolled it off the trailer, no practice time for setup, and as I recall he put it on the pole.
Also, love that pic of George Pringle's #28.  The P&D Supertest on the rear quarter was Tex Prospero (the "P") and Rocco DiCarlo (the "D").  Rocco of course went on to own Pinecrest Speedway until he sold it to developers in the mid-70's.
