18 days from Cornwall Motor Speedway opening night!

Cornwall, Ont –Tuesday, April 26, 2016 – Martin Bélanger – With only 18 days away from the season opener, countdown is well under way at Cornwall Motor Speedway. Here are some news about what is going on at the speedway!

Price and schedule are set for Test and Tune Night!

Promoter Raymond Lavergne have decided on prices for the Test and Tune night schedule on Tuesday, May 10th. Admission will be 10$ per person and 10$ per race car registered to practice. Unfortunately, only the pit area will be open as the final inspection of the new grandstand is scheduled for Friday, May 13th, therefore no will be admitted during practice night.

The full schedule for Test and Tune was published on the Facebook page as the gate will open at 5pm with first session being scheduled to start 6:30pm, inspection of security features as well as technical will be done starting at 5pm until the end of the evening at 10pm. Drivers will also have the opportunity to update their drivers profile, they are also encouraged to bring their transponder and one-way as both systems will work on the 10th.

Street-Stock Open

The Street-Stock have two 25-lap events scheduled for 2016, it was decided that both races will be ‘’Open”, rules will be posted soon on our website and Facebook page.

Who will replace Corey Wheeler as Sportsman King?

With Corey Wheeler moving up to Modifieds in 2016, the championship crown is left open in the Wheeler-Forget Royal Lepage Sportsman division. Several contenders such as Louie Jackson Jr. Ryan Stabler, Jessica Power, Justin Lalancette, Brianna Ladouceur and many others will look into replacing Wheeler as champion. With Wheeler and Joey Ladouceur now up, we could see new faces in the winner circle.

Novice Sportsman getting attraction!

A lot of interest is surrounding the new Polar Sound DJ Services Novice Sportsman, several drivers have raised their hands and are planning to participate in the new division. Procedures are being finalized as the feature race will be 15 laps in length with 6 laps qualifying rounds. A track champion will be crowned as the goal is to retain drivers that will have registered in this new division, they will also be part in several sections of the Bonus Program.
