Plans for Mosport’s first annual Mini Stock Invitational have been finalized for Saturday, Aug 29th, 2009.

This Invitational is open to all Mini Stock drivers and is a 30 lap feature with $350 to win. The gates open at 3:00 p.m. and practice starting at 4:00 p.m. Racing will begin at 6:30 p.m. Home track rules will apply and all drivers are welcome to compete.

This is a reminder and an open invitation to all Mini Stock drivers in the Southern Ontario area that Aug 29th is the date for the first Mini Stock Invitational at Mosport Speedway.

This Invitational will give all Mini Stock drivers the opportunity to experience the wide open, high speed half mile oval at Mosport Speedway. This open invitational will be using home track rules so it allows each driver to compete without any changes being made to your cars.

We at Mosport Speedway are looking forward to all Mini Stock competitors competing in our first Mini Stock Invitational.

why would they schedule a mini stock invitational when 90 percent of the ministocks in southern ontario are scheduled to run their home track?

That date was the only date that a majority of tracks were off for the evening. Kawartha, Capitol City, Peterboro, and Barrie aren't scheduled for that evening and it was hoped that Sunset could have rescheduled. We tried to accomodate as many tracks as possible with few disruptions to their schedule.

yes just saw that barrie is running friday not saturday and their off at pete so you probably have 50 percent...well hopefully you'll have a good showing too bad we'll miss it...enjoyed ourselves when we came for a sunday show last time.
