Corey Earl Uses Off-Season To Prepare For A Busy 2011

Picton, Ontario - Nov 11, 2010

Corey Earl Racing is deep into a post season tear-down and is already looking forward to an exciting 2011 race season. With 2010 in the books as an incredibly successful Dirt Late Model debut, Corey Earl Racing is looking at expanding their 2011 schedule to include the full ODLM tour as well as select other high-profile, high horsepower events. “After an amazing opening season in our crate late model, having a feature win, a series win and multiple top 5 finishes, we wanted to make sure we could run a full crate schedule and ODLM schedule without hurting our chances at either.” stated driver Corey Earl. “We want to make a serious run for the ODLM rookie of the year title in 2011 so we have begun to put together the resources we need to make that happen.” Starting out with the purchase of a 650 horsepower “open” motor, the team will be running a full 2 car operation in 2011. Long-time engine builder Larry was quick to prepare a former 358 DIRT Modified motor for it's new life under the hood with a couple key modifications to make it more suited to dirt late model racing. Next up is the purchase of a second car and the team has been keeping their eyes peeled for the right piece of hardware. “We learned so much this year about how these cars like to be driven and how different chassis' suit different drivers” says Corey “I now know that with my driving style we are looking for a “blue” front Rocket chassis. The “black” front car that we ran this year will get the open motor and the “blue” car, which favors a smoother, more momentum based style, will be getting a brand new 604 crate motor.”

With big plans for 2011 the team has been hard at working making sure that their equipment is in top-notch condition. The #11 Rocket Chassis has already been stripped to its bare frame to begin a complete rebuild from the ground up. “We want to make sure our equipment isn't holding us back.” crew chief Hotch Earl said. “By re-building each and every piece of this years car and going over our new car with a fine tooth comb, we can be sure that both machines are ready to perform at their peak.”
