Napa Auto Parts Brockville and Finish Line Web Design Seeks Help From BOS Fans to Nominate First Inductees to Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame

In an effort to honor past stars of the Brockville Ontario Speedway over the rich 43 year history of the track, Napa Auto Parts Brockville, Finish Line Web Design and Brockville Ontario Speedway are proud to announce the formation of the NAPA Auto Parts/Finish Line Web Design Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame.  Nominees will be accepted over the Brockville Speedway Facebook Fan Page from now until the start of the 2012 season.  Once the season starts, all nominees will go up on the BOS website for fan voting.  The first round of inductees will be announced at the NAPA Auto Parts night at the track on Saturday, July 28th.

 

The exact number of nominees that will be inducted has yet to be determined, but there is a phenomenal list of drivers that will make the list.  Arguments can be made for any number of drivers who have called Brockville Ontario Speedway home for some or all of their racing careers.  Classic names such as Denzil Billings, Marcel Lafrance, Bob McCreadie, Ovide Doiron, Dave Heaslip are just some of the past drivers that race fans will come up with, and maybe even current drivers like Danny and Pat O’Brien who have combined for 15 Brockville Speedway championships over the years and Lee Gill, who won four consecutive championships from 2000 to 2003. 

 

“We are really looking forward to seeing who the fans nominate for the first round of inductees into the Napa Auto Parts/Finish Line Web Design Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame”, says Napa Auto Parts Brockville Manager Dale Pasternak.  “I can think of several past BOS drivers that are deserving of the recognition for their achievements and some current ones too”.

 

Drivers will not be the only ones eligible to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, as track workers, officials, sponsors, crew members or even race fans could be added to the inaugural list of inductees.

 

Napa Auto Parts/Finish Line Web Design Brockville Speedway Hall of Fame inductees will be showcased in a designated spot behind the main grandstand in a display for all to see.  Each inductee will also receive a commemorative plaque stating that they are in the Hall of Fame.
