Problem is legally, you cannot "fund raise" for a "for profit" deal like this. Turns 1 and 2 are being left alone for now, but they weren't nearly rough as 3-4. It's the negative banking that hurts 3-4 in the worst way.

Not an expert, just tried it, refused to listen to conventional thinking, broke all the parts trying and then went back to the advice from others who tried the same crazy things.

Are they reworking both ends or just 3-4. This would be a great time to get rid of the whoop t do out of turn 2.
I wonder if any owners have thought of running fundraising events to try and come up with some scratch for a total track repave effort.
Some one must have tried somewhere. There must be paving companies who would take free lifetime advertising for helping a at cost job.
Any takers.
Just thinking out loud.
The ownership group consists of one of the biggest construction companies in the area, and the other owns a ready mix, I don't think they're looking for bargains on getting the work done, just going to feel things out and see if it makes sense.......There's a bump out of 2? Never really noticed that.

I think he is talking about the hill coming out of 2. Not really a bump. Lol

good luck this season, and i do hope to have the family out a few times..

They have a webcam up now or maybe they have for a while and I'm just discovering it now.

This would be handy all year to see the weather conditions at the track on race night. Often been times when it is pouring here in east london and it is desert like at the track.

The extended racing groove or "sidewalk" as we drivers call it, is now complete.  Work continues on extending the pit wall into the corner.  Lookin good folks. Love the webcam!

I assume there is still another lane of concrete to go down for pit in?

Really? hmm, sounds odd but maybe :p do you know of anything else they are doing, I see they are packing dirt or something into where the grass is...or maybe I am just seeing things. I would also assume they will paint those rumble strips yellow and put the tire back in?

Is the wall getting extended into turn 3 or is it stopping at the exit of 4 where it is now?

It is my understanding that pit road wall will end some where in the middle of 3 & 4. Yes there will be some sort of protection at the end of the wall. Not sure if it will be the old tire or not??
I havent been out there in the past week, but have talked to some who have. They say its looking real good, our fear about the exit being too tight may not be the case I'm told. One concern I heard yesterday is that the concrete seems very rough and abraisive. Im not sure if they will or can do anything about that? Not long now folks and we'll be out there turning laps on it. Bottom line I think is, it cant be any worse than it was!!

Looks like they might have a hard time doing work this week with the forecast.
