Checked the web cam out today. Is that where they are starting the pit wall and is that the tire I see. Trying to visualize the angles where the cars will be in my head but that doesn't seem like a real good place to put the tire....does it? One shove from the outside car and.......To be fair it is hard to tell unless you are in turn three what it looks like or what angle of attack the cars will take in the low lane.

I thought the same thing about the wall ernie! :p we shall see! Im assuming they will lay down the pit entrance tomorrow so they can sod up the grass and paint some lines on next week! Looks to be taking shape!

I think it gets paved on Monday, weather permitting of course.  I went out around the track yesterday. It's going to be nice.  No matter where you put the tire, its always has the possibility of being an issue.  The wall ends approximately the same place where it ends at the new Sunset Speedway.  I think this is the best place, because over the past years the crowding always seems to happen going into and right at corner 3, where the inside car thinks he has the lane, but unfortunatly so does the the guy on the outside lane.  I think the end of the wall is far enough away from 3 for that to be an issue.  Maybe with 2 grooves we wont even have that 3rd turn argument anymore between drivers.   Maybe !   Can't wait until practice.

i was just wondering where you think the wall should end?, being this is the slowest part of the track!
Maybe instead of complaining about everything the track does we should be applauding the things they are doing!

I couldnt agree more.  When I was driving around the track yesterday, one of the owners pulled up beside me and asked me what I thought of what they did. Just told him it was a great move and I thought the racing would be better this year.  Wish it was opening night. I think the new owners have done their part this year and we as fans, racers, etc need to get behind them and support the track as much as we can.
