LOCAL MOTOR SPORTS TO GET TV COVERAGE

April 16, 2012 - Shediac's CENTRE for Speed and Rogers TV are pleased to announce a partnership to deliver local motor sports action on Rogers Cable Channel 10.  The tentative schedule will see the majority of CFS's schedule of events taped for rebroadcast the following week including select weekly racing and Atlantic Speed Weeks shows.   The detailed TV schedule, and format will be released prior to the speedways season opener on June 16th.   "We're excited to be working with Rogers in this endeavour",  commented CFS GM,  Tim Wile.    "This is a great opportunity for the entire motor sports community and it's enthusiasts here in New Brunswick.  It's a chance to spot light our great weekly racing and it's heros and help grow motor sports in our region.  I'm extremely excited that Rogers felt our proposal had merit and for what it will mean for the racing community here and for the sport",  he concluded.

Charles Olscamp, Supervising Producer for Rogers TV commented "We're looking forward to bringing our viewers a great summer season of racing,  and Rogers TV is pleased to be able to partner with the Shediac Centre for Speed for this variety of programming.  This is another great example of how the local community can approach Rogers with a programming idea and see it become a television show they can be proud of."

In addition to weekly racing events the TV schedule is expected to also cover motor sports specials like CFS's Demolitions, Monster Trucks and Drifting Championships.
