Dylan Evoy Set for 2012 Season Opener at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park on Saturday Night; BOS Fan Fair a Great Success

After a successful practice session at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports Park on Sunday afternoon, Dylan Evoy and the Evoy Racing team are eager to get the 2012 season underway. Despite the overcast conditions and a light mist through much of the day, Evoy was able to make several laps, experimenting with different shock changes and making some adjustments to the car. The track was in great shape, and the conditions were ideal for accomplishing what they wanted.

With practice now over, Evoy is ready to get the 2012 season started. He will be at Chapman’s Can Am Motorsports this Saturday for their season opener. Evoy will run Can Am for the next few weeks, before Mohawk International Raceway and Brockville Speedway open on May 11th and 12th respectively.

“We had a real good test at Can Am. The track was in phenomenal shape”, says Evoy. “We are ready go get back to the track and get the racing season underway. Hopefully we can run well, and maybe even get a win here before our home tracks open”.

Evoy also attended the first annual Brockville Speedway Fan Fair on Saturday at Home Hardware in Brockville. It was a great turnout with lots of local race fans on hand to see the racecars and meet the drivers. The event was also a fundraiser for the Big Brothers and Big Sisters club.

“It is always fun to meet with the race fans, and even some of the people from the area that have never seen a race at the BOS. It was a fun event, and I think it was a great success for everyone”, adds Evoy.
