Future of CRO
« on: August 28, 2007, 07:42:29 PM »
Ok it is getting close to the end of the racing season and I have been thinking about this all season.

Where does this site go, what is the next step. The site is just getting to much for me to run by myself and I really want this site to grow and be a bigger part of the racing community like jayski type site but all about Canadian racing.

Maybe someone wants to buy the site? Partner with me? or Just Help.

Open to suggestions.

The site has grown a lot but the past couple of years we have stayed the same.

Thanks for Listening

Evan

I think that the new software this year along with allowing posts to accumulate into an archive have been a huge leap forward.  The advertising on the site seems to be in a position where it is visible, but at the same time not intrusive to the browsing.

In my opinion, continue to play up the sites strength as a message board without too many bells and whistles and allow its membership to continue to grow.  Sometimes simpler is better.

just two ideas maybe a part time sales person on commission and more moderators so the time drain would be less on you. i am a tech idiot but would be willing to help as much as possible in the west. Evan have youever asked barrie, sunset or any other tracks for sponsorship they do get a ton of publicity from this site driven by their drivers.

All Good Ideas.

I not good with talking with tracks but if someone could pull this off and get some sponsor ship dollars. I would pay a commission on this.

I need people to also take pictures and get interviews from drivers and teams. I could get you into races for free with media credentials.

Please don't let this site die as it's truly the best source of news and info once you clear all the bickering out of the way.  For those of us that don't get to all the different tracks it really helps to see what other tracks are doing.  Which then hopefully can be used at their local tracks and just make the sport of racing a bigger deal then the media is giving it here in Canada.

Ok we have a lot of interest in helping out please tell me what area you are from and how can you help out.

We need people from all over Canada to take pictures get interviews and so on.

We need people that could help get CRO paying sponsors and remember you get a commission on the deal.

Maybe moderators for each track or this too much???

Thanks

I think that barrie and sunset need about 18 moderators between them, and one other for the rest of canada, lol. ;D

Put me down as a moderator,I have past/present experience.I dont think each track needs a mod,not enough traffic or posts. With enough part time mods, there should be ample coverage of all the tracks/forums.

perhaps people should not moderate their own track, that could open a whole can of worms.
