Just noted that there are 53 drivers registered for timetrials on Friday and 18 are WideWackers ( formally Bushwackers)....gonna be tough to make this field.....NOTE that MACDONALD MOTORSPORTS now has the car numbered 81.

Good news is that he goes late in qualifying so he will know well in advance what he needs to run to make the show.  And based on practice times he is only 3/100ths off qualifying speed assuming they take the top 43 teams.

While they did very well qualifying i think calling them "giant killers" maybe the biggist exaggeration i have read in some time , DJ has qualified to run with the giants , nothing more .

I know people don't want to hear this but with that car and team i very much doubt a lead lap finish is in the cards . I will be very surprised if they are even running at the end .

hey sleepy....sounds like b.s. to me....lets be real,  if you take the cup drivers out of tha field,  he qualified 6 or 7th (depending on what you call a cup driver). Hes only 5 tenths off stewart (pole)!!!!!  that my friend is excepitionally awseome  and specatacularly great!!!  See that new decal on that car (STP),  that is what is making the difference,  that team may have just stepped up into a deal that will put them in a different position.  go mcdonald motorsports go!!!!!!  jw       p.s   damn im jealous.......but gonna be a great cheerleader tomorrow!

Who cares if he leads a lap or not or if he is there at the end of the race. He's Canadian and we should be proud of that. He is showing them we have some good Canadian Drivers.

Look at the list of drivers that didn't make it.  4 Drivers that are pretty good are not going to race but DJ is going to be racing.

# 56 Danny OQuinn Jr.; # 89 Morgan Shepherd; # 91 Larry Gunselman; # 36 Kenny Wallace; # 61 Kevin Lepage; # 87 Joe Nemechek; # 52 Donnie Neuenberger; # 05 Brett Rowe; # 84 Mike Harmon; # 0 Kertus Davis.

Way to go and Good Luck.

Sleepy this is one you will not win here as you have your right to your opinion but there are many more DJ fans on here.

I know people don't want to hear this but with that car and team i very much doubt a lead lap finish is in the cards . I will be very surprised if they are even running at the end .

I just posted my opinion . I have a pretty good track record for accuracy but i don't have a crystal ball . I have never bought into the whole "Buschwacker" thing since Busch/Nationwide is a professional series and everyone knows what they are getting before they ever enter the series . I have never felt obliged to cheer for anyone just because they were born on the north side of the 49th parallel . With Canadians working at JGR , RCR , BDR just to name a few shops do you cheer for those teams too ?

I said how i think the race will turn out for DJ and i would be interested in your prognostication .
