That previous topic about the events of the Sauble banquet was locked and then subsequently removed at the request of one of the participants.

I don't believe anyone wants to go down this road anymore. In fact my suggestion is not to bring up this topic anymore. I'm not censoring people but I believe this topic causes more problems than good.

People may post about the drivers meeting and payouts here in response to your question.

How a track handles itself in regards to driver misbehavior is very realivant, and really should be discussed.

Things happen on the track, and as a driver I would like to be at a track where I don't have to worry about my safety with someone assulting me.

Who said what, or did what, or who was in the right or wrong dosn't matter, but the tracks actions, or lack of them at one of their events is very realivant.

Do I as a driver want to show up to an invitational where to locals are allowed by the track to attack each other, and more importantly me?

There really is nothing wrong with 2 guys that BOTH WANT to settle it after a race. These guys aren't going to care about the rules, and if they get suspended, they will take it like men.

When you don't enforce rules, you get cowards that will try and get away with something. These are the sorts that will sucker you from behind with a tire tool. Even more cowards will join "the group" if that is the aceptable behavior, which goes unpunished.

The first group, the consentual fighters will leave with with sore faces. The second group, the coward trying to get away with something, will put someone in the hospital with brain dammage because of their stupidity.

This may or may not ring true to what happened at a certain event, I don't know because I wasn't there. All I do know is the actions taken by the track will determine future behavior. And why I for one, would like to know how it turned out, what the track's response was.

This will be my last post on here bout this topic but to be honest on race time radio there was a guy on there saying that he doesn't censor people on here ....and shutting a topic down because it is not good is censoring.. i know and repect the rules on this site and the truth has came out about it and that is good and it REALLY neeeds to get attention this isn't really just about sauble.. its about the industry .. and so everyone knows I am sorry if i got out of hand it was a pretty big deal in my eyes is all.. but what else is a forum good for  if controversial topics aren't discussed ?  but seriously  you should censor bad comments on your site BUT NEVER censor topics or your credibility is gone..  is all

Thanks..

So people talked about the topic and it gets out of hand they are warned by the mods then the mods lock the topic.

People see the topic is locked and open another one and with the topic of "hate to open a can of worms here"

What does that sound like to you. The poster must know or think it is not OK as the title says it all. I have seen a lot of people come on and sign up and the first post they do is start in on something to stir the pot. I'm not saying this is the case of the post but it happened a lot last year. Why not call the track and ask them what was done?

You don't see the article in race magazines or in the paper in Canada.

You must be talking about me as, a guy from race time radio said we censor things on here. Which I was shocked to hear as we are the ones that have had many people come to use the forums and many have said how do you allow your members to say things about Tracks, Series & Drivers.

Most forums wont go where we go. We allow aliases to avoid troubles with people threatening people and look up their information. Aliases are to protect my members and that is all. for the most part many member know each other. Censorship would mean we remove posts that we were asked to and many people have asked for posts to be removed and I have gotten letters from lawyers and the posts stay unless they go as far as a court order and we go to court but the disclaimer says it all. We have no control over the content if it's fact or rumors.

I can really recall once I removed content of a member that I was asked from someone outside of the forum as I found out a ex-employee wanted to trash is boss and make up stuff and that almost went to court as he was slandering his ex-boss on here. There was another time and it was someone that was in trouble with the law and was convicted of a bad crime and we didn't want search engine to pick up the topic and people come becuase of that topic and he was just a crazy fan that drove everyone nuts.

It is about Sauble. How does what happened at the Banquet part of the industry news? Were there writeup in the local papers or motorsports magazines? They are the ones not publishing what happened some know what happened. We at least gave people a chance to talk about it and it got out of hand personal attacks and language and threats. This is not censorship.

Call the track as they would know best or talked to the people involved.

That is your best bet.
