LM race on Sunday Sept 7?

They did the qualifying and ran 2 heat races, Sylvain Lacombe was on the pole , Steve Munro was 2nd in qualifying

First heat race was won by Lacombe the 2nd heat race was won by Munro

The main race was called for rain

If they get that far they usually get some $

Checked MUNROS  site but the kid ( must be from its content ) that does it has little details posted other than they would have been on the outside front row in the main race.

Bake82, any idea why they said racing would start at 10 am and didn't. heard the ambulance had a flat tire but that should not put them back 3 hours.

On the contrary. That doesn't piss me off at all. I'm glad the drivers got compensated for their support of the race. We weren't pissed when we didn't get tow money last time and we definately weren't expecting it. We took the risk of driving that far and lost. BTW forecast for Friday is 80% chance of rain. I think that could be 7 rainouts in 13 race nights for Kawartha. That is brutal.

Slapdown-makes sense.  I am also glad they got compensated. 

From what you are saying happened, is not what we all thought happened for the LM.  We were under the understanding LM guys said they didn't want to stick around for the Sunday rain out as there was fear of rain on Sunday as well. Doesn't make any sense why he did what he did that weekend or this past one.  But I can say it is too bad that he has left such a bad first impression with you guys.  I hope you guys come down at some point next year for a second try and see how it goes.  I think the track has alot of potential, he just needs to realize he can't lie to ppl, or mis-advertise things.  I think organization is the KEY to it all and remember, although you might take a hit today money wise, in the LONG RUN it will pay off. 



38racing: I  have no clue why he advertised 10am start and didn't start until 1pm.  I was upset at that as I got there at 8am thinking we'd have an hour practice and then go racing.  Once we got unloaded we found out that practice was from 10-1130 and racing to start at 1.  He should have said screw practice and just run the races, or at the very least only ran 1 session of practice for an hour or so.  Would have been able to get most if not all of the racing in before the rain started.

Wondering now what they'll do about the 6 race kd/ccs lm series which was supposed to have a points fund payout. CCS got in only the 1 race with a couple kd cars there and kd has 2 in and maybe a 3rd if no rain on the 19th. Only 2 of the 5 CCS cars that travelled got to run in the  kd race that was also an ACT 200.

Actually one driver was not going to stay at the first race but the rest of us were. Not sure why he took the chance with the forecast the way it was if he wasn't going to stay til Sunday.
