Just wanted to put my 2 cents in for the opening weekend at Sunset. First off it was freakin cold with that wind; thank goodness for the sun! Great car count and racing for the first time out. Excellent to see some competition for the 72 of Rusnell; congrats young Cayden on a great run! As many said in attendance, the Limited Late Model race was competitive all the way through. A super job and a well deserved win for the 11 or Morrow after a few years of terrible luck. He showed what he had by qualifying first and had the worst luck possible rolling a 12 to invert the field. Starting 12th he made his way to the front with some great moves. On the last restart he pulled away from the 51 of Bentley as he cruised to the checkered. Let's hope the Pro Late race upcoming is as competitive!
P.S. I go to Sunset weekly and even with a smaller crowd due to the weather it takes far too long to get food from the concession stand. I would ask that they look at that as this has been the case over the last few years. It sucks standing in line waiting for food while a race is going on behind you. Sunset is a first class track and the only issue I have is with the food so I hope something can be done to make it just that much better.
