No Paul Tracy in Montreal
« on: June 03, 2007, 09:50:59 PM »
Paul Tracy said on Wind Tunnel tonight that the possible Busch series ride in Montreal with Kevin Harvick Inc. in the #77 car has fallen through. Apparently too many sponsor conflicts and Forsythe wasn't too crazy about it especially during a busy part of the Champ Car schedule. Too bad, it would have been cool to see Paul teamed up with Ron Fellows for the first Busch Series in Canada.

That's too bad, it would have been good for the event.

Maybe next time?

If anyone knows how to get ahold of Tracy, tell him to call me and we will put him a NASCAR CTS car for Montreal....

It sounded like Gerry Forsythe didn't want Paul to race at all that weekend because of the Champ Car schedule. You might try and contact him though, the worst he could do is say no. It would be cool to see him in Montreal.

Dave, if you can't get Paul, too bad you couldn't get Petey back in the car for another race. Heck, I'd even go knock on doors for sponsors!

If Petey wants a ride, the seat is always open to him, BUT, from what I understand if he does race, it must be in a Ford as per Roush's contract. To bad because we know he can get the job done.
One of Petey's best finishes was in one of my cars at Kawartha, was running fifth and got taged by McCleod but still went onto finishing 6th or 7th. Not bad for his first time in the car.
What made me happy is when Petey jumped out after the race and said it was one of the very best race cars he had ever driven !!

I kinda thought that also, oh well, no harm in trying.  ;)

Ya, I remember that day, I was working in the #86 pits, Pete's Dad asked if we had a sawsall. You can blame Kenny for Tara.  ;D
He put the bumper to her up at St. Eustache and she's never been the same since that point on!  ???

She was working coat check at Georgian Downs racetrack/casino, then at the Honda booth at the Autoshow, but after that I have no idea.
