my brother says some guys are running 4.11's for gears. dad runs 3.89's. Will he be too undergeared, or are Barrie gears pretty much the same at Sauble for RPM?

Forget the gears, change your cam. If I understand correctly the is no cam rule. Your 3.89's should be fine at Sauble.

as i look again at the rules Scott you are correct. There won't be anything we can do about the cam this week, but it is definately something we can do later on. Who knows, the car may run just fine with what we have. Thanks Scott

just curious what cam you guys are running at Sauble, and what kind of gears? We are running a 2 speed powerglide with 3.73.

We went with 3.73 and only turned 6200 at the end of the chute, 3.90 would be best with the tighter corners or 4.11

That's why they call you the "cheque casher". We had a good car Saturday night to bad we caught up in the lapped traffic crap. Oh well we still finished 11th after going to the back. Shoulda been a top ten though.
