they need a driver with talent who can just drive the cot.

like say....jeff gordon?

holy smokes everyone i think the guy can drive like him or hate him.
yeah he can drive --- to kwikie mart. he has not shown the ability to adapt to the cot, to me it seems to race like a street stock it on the pavement feel wise not in the pavement he has not been comfortable in the cot from day one jmnsho.

I just don't see the connection with the crew chief and Jeff. Try a new one and see if they can communicate.

But there is a connection - that was shown last year when he dominated the regular season and finished 2nd to Jimmie in the chase. How was that possible with no connection?

Therefore ruling out the fact that there's a good connection, we're back to Jeff can't adapt to the COT.

It can happen. One year you work great and the next it doesn't click. He ran well with the COT when they were testing they were ahead of the others. Just seems bad call have hurt him.

sorry to disagree evan even in testing the cot they can not get to feel right for him. the car is loose and he hates that feeling and no crew chief can dial that out of these cars. his choice is simple 1- adapt 2-back marker 3-retire.

Wow, this is a tough crowd.  Apparently running in the top 12 in points is poor performance these days.  Might as well pack it in.

crewcheif47, we aren't saying it's total poor performance. What we're saying is we'd expect him to be up there with Jimmie as that's where they were last year. Also, the crew cheif/driver discussion is just sonething that's been obvious through the conversations they have on the radio. It's just discussion based upon comparing the two years.
