Making the trip to Sauble Speedway this past weekend, Jade Franklin showed speed in qualifying before problems in the 50-lap feature for the Battle of the Beach.
Starting off the night, Franklin was fast in the qualifying heats, picking up the victory in one of his races en route to being the top-qualifier on the afternoon.
Rolling the dice, he rolled 11, handing him the 11th starting position. He began to make his way forward through the early stage, working his way into the top-10 by the halfway point and continuing to make passes and avoid being caught up in the incidents. Poised for a strong finish, his ran came to an end when he’d roll to a stop in turn two on Lap 37 with a blown motor.
The Jaded Motorsports team will re-group and use the positives from the run towards building momentum in hopes of scoring their eighth top-10 of 2017 in the next night of competition.
