Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour Making Only Visit to 660 this Season on Saturday!
(Halifax, NS. July 6, 2011) The Parts for Trucks Pro Stock Tour returns to Speedway 660 this weekend for the Parts for Trucks 100. This will be the only visit to the 1/3 mile oval located just outside of Fredericton in Geary, NB. The Parts for Trucks 100 will mark the halfway point of the season for the regional touring series; race six of 12 on the 2011 schedule. Action on the track is heating up, not unlike the weather, so don’t miss the Parts for Trucks 100 this Saturday at Speedway 600. Please note that racing action starts at 7:00 pm, with Atlantic Tiltload Time Trials set to begin at 6:10 pm. Box office and grandstands open at 5:00 pm.
With the halfway point of the season upon us, every position a team can earn is paramount to the championship standings. Fans can expect fierce action on the track as Canada’s best stock car drivers battle for each and every position to gain maximum points and position their team one step closer to the prestigious title of Champion. Following the Lockhart Truck Center 100 last weekend at Scotia Speedworld; Wayne Smith (Timerblea, NS) sits in the top spot, just 25 markers ahead of both Donald Chisholm (Antigonish, NS) and Shawn Tucker (Fredericton, NB) who are currently tied for second. Kent Vincent (Crapaud, PE) and Shawn Turple (Enfield, NS) round out the top five respectively.
