Spencer you beat me to the 76.  The 15 was Andrew Laycock with his co-pilot Bart Simpson hanging on to the passenger b-pillar.

Awesome!  I remember Allard.  BTW, the black car in front of Andrew is #17..?

I'll see if it'll scan better with another scanner - the back stretch cars are more visible in the original 4x6.

47...it was malcolm leslie's car from the year before...black chevelle...jim cutting owns it now i'm pretty sure dallas was driving it that fateful night two weeks ago lol...there was no power steering it would take colt half a straightaway to correct it...those were the days of red light green light caution.  stop on the red.  gun it on the green.  no pace car/caution laps.

Oh that's very possible - I was only about 7 or 8 years old at the time.  (I just seem to remember a Trans Am front end.)  And there's no doubt your recollection would be  better considering who uncle Joe is to you. :)

Would you have any pics of that car?  Would love to see it again!

Mark

Man, that'd be cool to have. That way we get to run all the laps under green flag conditions and have them count.

Speaking of Malcolm Leslie I think thats his white challenger along the backstretch!!! Really hard to see closely enough but I think I can make out a 25 there!!! What a great driver he was. Point champ in his rookie year dont get any better than that.

Sorry bro, can't see a 25 anywhere even on the print.  The light was low so the pics are grained out a fair bit.  Agreed BTW, Leslie was awesome. :)

Wouldn't #69 be an Inglis?
