Keystone Light 200 - Delaware
« on: August 26, 2012, 09:36:12 AM »
well, we have week to go and just wondering who everybody thinks might show up for this race.  Do you think al lthe regulars?  How about anybody form any other tracks? Not sure how an LLM would stack up but Jay Christie seems you run very well with his.  Anybody know of any   "ringers" that might surprise us and show? can hardly wait!

On Friday night Kennington said he was still trying to put a deal together. Don't know about Fitzpatrick or Matthews.

Matthews would be good. I imagine some of our irregulars will show too, like Cox, Brandon Watson, Jon Urlin and Trevor Monaghan.

It'd be nice to see Gary Elliott, Stompin' Tom and Paul Howse too.

However. We'll see on Sunday. Can't wait. I still get excited like a little kid for the 200 on Labor Day.

I sure would love to see Walters run. Haven't seen him run in a long time, but I think Sunset has another special race scheduled on next Sunday

Can't wait, still seems odd seeing Jesse Kennedy as an invader, but should be a good race, hopefully we have a crowd like 07-08 with 35+ cars

Theres that 15 Bowyer car out there too..  What car will Urlin drive the Summer Showdown winning 44 or the Pastrana 99?

And are the 8 and 1 cars available for special guest drivers?

Perhaps some Flammy drivers? would be nice to see a 30+ car field.

Come on teams!  10,000 reasons to come out and put your name on the list of Great Canadian Winners

looking forward to Sunday.  I will be very pleasanly surprised if there is more than 25 cars there on Sunday. I really hope I'm wrong, but there are a lot of cars on the sidelines , from accidents this year. To my knowledge, has there been any drivers come from other tracks this year for any event?  I have not seen anybody from Flammy or Kawartha, for whatever reason. Maybe, the payout will bring them, but I wonder. Sunset is running yet another special this Sunday, so don't count on any cars from there (even with the weight breaks for LLM)  I still think it will be a good show as Delaware has great regular LM drivers, but I just don't think there will be any surprise entries.  As I mentioned before, I sure hope i'm wrong.

Well the standings show 37 cars with points from at least 1 appearance,so we can say the irregulars would probably be:
6-Quarrie 25-Powell 9-Brandon Watson 7-Trevor Monaghan 29-Windis
22-Cox 10-kennedy 28-Robblee (which one??) 15- Mathews 44/99-Urlin,Neuman
plus our normal 14-16, and who knows about the Jacobs brothers 1&8.
Getting close to 30....more than enough for Delaware.

Well I hope you are right!  Just a few things though:
-haven't seen Powell since his disagreement with the black flag
-haven't seen Quarrie since his bad wreck at the Showdown
-Monaghan wrecked at Flamboro last couple of weeks ago. Has already said he wasnt coming
-haven't seen Windis since he wrecked early in the year

I think the rest will be there. There is also "Cox's second car ???

I'm sure you will see guys like Brad coracan, Jason Shaw, Hathaway could be expected as well. He usually runs the 200 when no conflicts with ncats arise. Also look for DJ, he does have a car now. Other flammy cars. Maybe an american or two.

Last year on a saturday and half the money kept guys away. Sunday labourday you will see a lot of cars. Kent nuhn also.

The black flag has absolutely nothing to do with why you have not seen Powell back. Cole was willing to except a bad call and move on until the email from the track wanting to discuss tech issues. Cole took his ASA motor and had it de tuned to 422 hp and then took it to the dyno picked by the track with Leon present. It was dynoed and sealed 422hp. Now the track is not good with it and wants him to run a additional 125lbs. After spending the money to have it de tuned he is not willing to take it back and re tune for more Hp to carry the extra weight. He has even offered to lately add 50lbs just as a compromise and to see if he can be competitive with the car  .   The fact is the last race his fastest time was a 19.3.. The track has not agreed to this, so there you go.

Didn't Powell run a chev? Does that mean there could be chev crates?  If so how many are actually at Delaware.... Hmmmmmm
Seems to me like those big bad fords aren't the only problem here.

Also as the rules state if your motor was asa it weighs asa. Roblee detuned his still weighs at asa weights.
